46 – Humans land on the moon

July 20, 1969

On July 20, 1969, millions of people gathered around their televisions to watch two U.S. astronauts do something no one had ever done before—step foot on the moon! Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first people to stand on a different planetary body and look back at our Earth.
